Traditional Rakhi Card
Material Required :
- Card Paper(Handmade)
- Kalawa( thread)
- Ganesha or Swastika or dry flowers
- Paint or colors
Method :
- Cut the card paper in the desired size and fold it in the middle.
- Now, leave some border according to your choice and paste the kalawa thread around the border.
- On the inside of the kalawa border, make lines using the paint or colors.
- Paste the motif of Ganesha or Swastika a little off center towards top and write 'Happy Raksha Bandhan' or similar such messages.
- For writing messages, computer print out can also be used. Write your message on the inside of the card.
- If you wish to give it a contemporary look, you can use a lace or a ribbon in place of kalawa.
- Pressed flowers or reeds can also be used as the center design.
- And finally, enclose the card with Rakhi, tika, rice etc.
